Supervise and ensure the implementation of the company’s HSE management system across port, terminal, and logistics operations.
Monitor compliance with local regulations, international maritime standards, and client HSE requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of cargo handling, lifting operations, fuel storage, and marine activities.
Lead and investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Oversee the Permit-to-Work system for high-risk activities (hot work, confined space, working at height, heavy lifting).
Organize and supervise emergency response drills (fire, oil spill, vessel evacuation, natural disasters).
Train, coach, and supervise staff and contractors on safety standards and procedures.
Ensure proper hazardous materials and waste management according to environmental regulations.
Prepare and submit HSE reports and performance statistics to management and regulatory authorities.
Act as a liaison with port authorities, clients, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in all port and terminal operations.

Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of port and terminal HSE risks (cargo handling, lifting operations, hazardous materials, marine operations, heavy equipment).
Ability to conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and audits.
Familiar with emergency response planning and drills (firefighting, oil spill, vessel evacuation).
Knowledge of environmental management: waste, emissions, water quality, and spill prevention.
Proficient in preparing HSE reports, safety statistics, and compliance documentation.
Experience with Permit-to-Work system, confined space entry, and working at height safety procedures.
