Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a Process Safety Engineer within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Fertilizer, Biomass, Power Generation, or other heavy process industries.
Hands-on experience conducting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Bow-Tie Analysis, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Fire & Explosion Protection System reviews.
Experienced in identifying process hazards, conducting risk assessments, and recommending effective engineering controls and mitigation measures to improve plant safety and operational reliability.
Experience with combustible dust hazard facilities, including Biomass, Wood Pellet, Flour Mill, Cement, Sugar, or Metal Powder Processing, will be considered an advantage.
Certifications and Professional Training:
Professional Process Safety Management (PSM) Training.
HAZOP Leader or HAZOP Facilitator Certification is preferred.
Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) Training.
Bow-Tie Risk Assessment Training.
Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment Training.
Functional Safety Engineering Training based on IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Risk Assessment Training.
Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) Training.
Certified Functional Safety Expert or TÜV Functional Safety Certification will be an advantage.
ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Training is preferred.
Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Training.
Emergency Response Planning and Crisis Management Training.

Tugas & Tanggung Jawab
Develop, implement, and monitor Process Safety Engineering strategies throughout all project phases, from conceptual design to commissioning.
Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis activities, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Bow-Tie Analysis, SIL Assessment, and other safety studies.
Identify process hazards, evaluate operational risks, and recommend practical engineering solutions to minimize potential incidents.
Review Process Safety Management documentation, Safety Philosophies, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fire & Gas Systems, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, process safety regulations, client specifications, and company procedures.
Support engineering teams during design reviews by integrating inherently safer design principles into project execution.
Participate in Fire Risk Assessment, Explosion Hazard Analysis, Pressure Relief System Review, and Emergency Response Planning.
Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and Project Engineering teams to ensure process safety requirements are incorporated into engineering deliverables.
Support incident investigations by conducting Root Cause Analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
Promote continuous improvement in process safety culture and contribute to achieving safe, reliable, and sustainable plant operations.
