Minimum education of Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Public Health (specializing in Occupational Safety), or K3 Engineering.
Have Certification:
General K3 Expert Certificate (Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia).
Hazardous Chemical Handling / MSDS & GHS Labeling Training.
Emergency response training (chemical spills, reactive material fires).
Experience:
Min. 2–3 years of experience in HSE/K3 position in chemical, metallurgy, or nickel smelter industry environment.
Tugas & Tanggung Jawab
Chemical Safety Supervision:
Ensure all chemicals are used, stored, and disposed of according to K3 and environmental standards.
Conduct inspections to chemical warehouse areas, laboratories, and nickel processing units.
Risk Evaluation & Emergency Response Handling:
Compile and update HIRADC for activities involving reactive, corrosive, or toxic chemicals.
Be part of the emergency response team for leaks, spills, or exposures.
Monitoring Protection Facilities:
Ensure the availability and function of chemical-specific personal protective equipment (chemical PPE: hazmat, respirator, special gloves).
Safety equipment: emergency shower, eyewash, neutralization tank.
Conduct checks and preventive maintenance of spill kits, chemical class fire extinguishers.
Documentation and Reporting:
Record chemical use, report near misses or exposure incidents.
Compile chemical inspection forms and daily/weekly reports.
Training and Education:
Provide internal training on how to use chemical PPE, SDS introduction, evacuation of hazardous material exposure.
Socialization of GHS labels and re-labeling systems if necessary.
Internal Coordination and Audit:
Assist the HSE team in dealing with internal, external audits (ISO, KLHK), and ESDM inspections.
Coordinate with environmental units (IPAL, B3), operations, and material logistics.

Technical Competence:
Able to perform HIRADC specifically for chemical handling & storage areas; Inspection of chemical PPE, emergency shower/eyewash equipment, exhaust fans, spill kits; Preparation of SDS (Safety Data Sheet) & GHS label control. Familiar with chemical incident reporting systems and internal training of operational teams.
Non-Technical Competence: Careful, systematic, and responsive in emergency conditions. High discipline towards safety procedures and documentation. Able to coordinate with operators, technicians, and management in chemical supervision.
